Welcome!
This Teaching Tree space is for all of us to connect around teaching. Everyone is invited to join.
Asynchronous Flex Opportunities
The following asynchronous Flex opportunities are available for you in the Teaching Tree.
- Teaching as Praxis - Rooted in the work of Paulo Freire, teaching as praxis invites us to reflect, act, and grow. This branch of the Teaching Tree supports you in making intentional, student-centered choices through regular reflection and meaningful improvement. It includes three different Flex-eligible activities:
- Start-of-Semester Intention Setting (Flex #30183)
- Weekly Teaching Check-Ins (Flex #30184)
- End-of-Semester Reflection (Flex #30185)
- Canvas Course Prep BINGO (Flex #30186) - Check off essential course prep tasks, earn a little Flex Credit, and see if you can score a Bingo along the way.
- Rooting for Success (Flex #30187) - A set of strategies to support student success, starting even before the first day of class.
- The Engagement Elevator (Flex #30188) - Take student engagement to the next level with these strategies.
Pronto for Connecting w/ Colleagues
Our favorite part of the Teaching Tree is the Pronto chat. Pronto gives you a direct connection to everyone else enrolled which allows you to ask questions, share ideas, or just connect with colleagues in real time. To join the conversation, click the Pronto button in the Canvas navigation menu (on a browser, that's the menu on the left side of the screen).
