4.0 Canvas Studio Simplified: Boost Your Teaching with Easy Wins
Welcome!
Faculty members often struggle with effectively integrating media content into their online courses. This module aims to simplify this process by providing clear, step-by-step instructions for organizing and embedding videos using Canvas Studio, enabling faculty to create engaging, multimedia-rich learning experiences.
Zoom Video Storage Update: Canvas Studio Recommended
Faculty Note: Zoom has recently implemented a 1-year video retention policy. This means recordings stored in Zoom Cloud will only be available for one year from their recording date.
To ensure your course videos remain accessible to students throughout their academic journey, we recommend using Canvas Studio as your primary video hosting platform. Canvas Studio offers:
- Persistent storage without time-based deletion
- Direct integration within your Canvas course environment
- Built-in accessibility features including captioning
- Interactive elements to enhance student engagement
Maintaining reliable access to your instructional videos is essential for student success and continuity of learning across semesters.
