24.4 Creating a Course in ADAPT
ADAPT Courses
You can search and import content from existing courses or build your own! When using ADAPT to integrate assignments into Canvas grade book, you must create an ADAPT course that mirrors each Canvas course you have.
Importing Existing Content
On your ADAPT dashboard, navigate to "My Courses"
Select "Import Course" and search by keyword, title, or author. When you find the correct course, select "Yes, import course!"
Building a New Course
On your ADAPT dashboard, navigate to "My Courses"

Select "New Course"
Under "Course Details," be sure to complete all fields with asterisks (*).
School: Select your specific campus.
Course Name: Title your course so that it's easy to identify if you have multiple sections or similar classes.
Modality: Traditional is typical for Canvas integration. You can set up as Formative Only to track student progress or Anonymous Users to allow student access to assignments without saving submissions or providing answers.
Section:
CRN: If you have not been given a CRN yet, you can type "N/A."
Term: Track your courses across semesters.
Start/End Date: Set up initially, can be adjusted later if needed.
Public: Allows other to search and import your course.
Alpha: Feature that allows Beta courses to be made and updated automatically from Alpha course.
LMS: If you are integrating with Canvas, be sure to select "Yes" under LMS at the bottom of Course Details.
