What can it look like?

Pizza comes in different shapes—circle, square, and triangle—primarily due to cultural preferences, practicality, and serving methods. The classic round pizza is popular because it bakes evenly in a circular shape, and it’s easy to slice into triangles, which are convenient for eating by hand. Square or rectangular pizzas, like the Sicilian style, originated from thicker, more doughy crusts that are baked in square pans, making them easier to portion out in equal squares. Triangular pizza slices are typically the result of cutting round pizzas into wedges, a common serving style. Ultimately, the shape of a pizza often depends on regional traditions, baking equipment, and the type of crust or style being made.

Elephants and whales are two of the largest and most intelligent animals on Earth, each adapted to their unique environments. Elephants, found in Africa and Asia, are the largest land mammals and are known for their strong social bonds, long lifespans, and high level of intelligence. They use their trunks for various tasks such as feeding, drinking, and communication. Whales, the giants of the ocean, include species like the blue whale, which is the largest animal ever known to have existed. These marine mammals are highly social and use complex vocalizations to communicate across long distances in the ocean. Both elephants and whales play crucial roles in their ecosystems, with elephants shaping landscapes and whales helping maintain marine ecosystems by supporting nutrient cycles.

What Types of H5P Content are there?

Over 60+ types of content can be used for:

Interactive learning activities
Self Assessments
Formative Assessments
Simulations and games
Self-paces learning modules and presentations

Accessibility Note:

ASCCC reviewed each activity type and identified accessibility barriers.

All the H5P activities evaluated have accessibility barriers affecting users who are blind and users with learning disabilities who use assistive technology to read the content aloud. These include but are not limited to:

No option to set the correct language for the activity
No option to set the correct language for content
No title for the activity iframe.

After meeting with H5P developers, ASCCC determined that it could provide training to content authors to make some H5P activities more accessible.

Each of the 47 H5P activity types were rated:

🟢 Usable with Best Practices: the activity requires minimal adjustments by content authors
🟡 Usable with Workarounds: the activity requires significant adjustments by content authors
🔴 Requires Alternative Activity: the activity is not usable by some users.
🔵 Evaluation Pending
