Module Recipe
Ingredients
- Clarity & Alignment of Objectives
- Chunked content by module
- Instructional materials (readings, videos, lectures, etc.)
- Consistent structure
Step 1: Before building your modules
- Set clear learning objectives for each module
It's important to pinpoint the exact skills and information you intend for your students to grasp. These objectives will form the basis of your modules and guide you in selecting relevant content and activities. - Determine chunking
Consider organizing topics by modules. A good rule is to try to limit a module to 3-4 learning objectives for manageable learning. - Gather and organize content
The content delivery for your courses should vary based on their nature, incorporating readings, lectures, videos, quizzes, or other relevant materials. Ensure a diverse range of learning activities, allowing for practice, application, and feedback opportunities.
Step 2: Do you have consistent module structure?
