16.5 Incompletes (I)

Incomplete Student Work

At the faculty's discretion, an Incomplete (I) grade may be assigned to any student who has unfinished coursework at the end of the semester; typically, this would be a final exam, paper, or assignment. An Assignment of Incomplete form will be submitted by the faculty to detail the missing work and the due date, not to exceed one year. 

 Step 1: Begin SDCCD paperwork

In mySDCCD, you will need to:

  1. Download the Incomplete Faculty Form (I) Links to an external site.. 
  2. Then submit Links to an external site. the form online.

    Use the drop-down menu Assignment of Incomplete ("I")

Then fill out as much information as needed. 

 Step 2: Request Incomplete Course section via OLP 

Please submit a Faculty Support Desk ticket Links to an external site.to request for Incomplete Course section. Highlighted below are some points for additional guidance when filling out the form. 

  1. Select General Help
  2. Select Online Learning Support (Canvas)
  3. Select Type of Issue > Canvas Support
  4. Provide 5-digit course number
  5. Provide student(s) information to help us identify which students need prolonged access in Canvas
