Creating Video Quizzes in Canvas Studio:

Step One: Accessing the Video Quiz Editor

Accessing "Create Quiz" option within Canvas Studio

Go to the My Library page in Canvas Studio and locate the video you want to add a quiz to.
Select the Options icon (three dots) on the video thumbnail, hover over the Quizzes link, and select Add Quiz.

Enter a title for your quiz and an optional description. Choose whether to hide question markers on the timeline for students and allow displaying annotations.
Select the Get Started button. The video will open in the quiz editor.

To add a question, pause the video where you want the question to appear and select the Add button.
Select the question type - Multiple Choice, True or False, or Multiple Answer. For this example I will select True or False

Enter the True/False statement. Select the correct answer(s).
Select Save to add the question. Continue adding questions throughout the video as needed.
When done, the quiz will be saved. To have users take the quiz, embed the video with the quiz into a Canvas course page or assignment.

Adding Annotations to Videos in Canvas Studio:

Step One

Location of the "Annotate Video" option within Canvas Studio

Go to the My Library page in Canvas Studio and find the video you want to annotate.
Select on the Options icon (three dots) for the video and select "Annotate Video".

In the video timeline, pause the media where you want to add the annotation. Select the "Add" icon.

Enter Annotation Details:
1. Add a headline in the "Headline" field.
2. Add description text in the "Description" field.
3. Optionally, add links to your annotation by entering a URL in the "Link" field.
4. To create a hyperlink, enter display text in the "Display Text" field.
Select the "Save" button at the bottom right-hand corder of the menu to add the annotation.
The annotation will now appear in the video. To edit the annotation, select the "Edit" icon. To dismiss the annotation when viewing, select the "Continue" button.
