- Compare the captioning services that are available and determine the appropriate one for their circumstances

How long will the micro-courses be available?
The content will be available indefinitely. If you have registered for any of the @ONE micro-courses through Catalog, you will be notified by email if there are any changes to the content availability beforehand.
How long will it take to go through the course material?
This micro-course is self-paced and includes videos, quizzes, and activities. This micro-course is a self-paced one week course. There will be no facilitators. Plan to commit at least an hour for each module. Each module may vary considerably in length and complexity. Participants who are familiar with video production may progress faster. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict individual time commitment.
What background do I need?
This course assumes prior knowledge of basic accessibility principles; however, there are opportunities for review. Closed-Captioning and closed-captioning platforms such as 3C Media Solutions, YouTube, and Amara familiarity are unneeded. However, to complete the course activity, you will need to sign-up for a YouTube account.

Do I need to buy a textbook/course materials?
All lecture and most activities are published in this Canvas micro-course. You will need to download Screencast-O-Matic or use another program that allows for screen-casting and microphone recording. Please note that Screencast-O-Matic offers a free version with limited tools.
