Overview

  • Use Step 3: Create a Script as a guideline to produce a quality captioned Welcome Video for one of your courses that is less than 5 minutes long. You may use an existing Welcome Video by editing it, but it will need to be 5 minutes maximum.

  • Use Youtube to upload your video.

Create a 5-Minute Welcome Video

Directions

  1. Use the rubric as a guideline. 
  2. For one of your courses, write a Welcome Video script that is no longer than 5 minutes.
  3. Record your video while reading the script. Screen-cast any parts of the course for visual.
  4. Use the script to create a transcript. Include any music or sound effects. 
  5. Upload transcript into captioning platform.
  6. Caption video using the DCMP Captioning Key guidelines.
