OneSearch Links to an external site. is a search tool that combs through multiple databases and online records at the same time to bring you a wide variety of results. OneSearch itself is not a database, but it allows you to search across many of the library's resources in one search. The results will include online-only items like article PDFs and streaming video as well as items physically located at the library.

What Can OneSearch Find?

OneSearch explores millions of books, eBooks, scholarly articles, audiovisual resources, images, and more. It includes

  • databases;
  • articles from online journals, magazines, and newspapers;
  • streaming audio and videos

When Should You Use OneSearch?

OneSearch is great for

  • getting started on your research;
  • searching for different types of sources at the same time such as articles, books, and videos;
  • exploring interdisciplinary topics;
  • tracking down an item when you only have pieces of a citation like the author’s last name or the title; and
  • locating the full text of items.

Why Should You Use Anything Other Than OneSearch?
