Welcome to Using OneSearch!

In this module, you will learn about OneSearch Links to an external site., a tool accessible from the Miramar College Library's homepage that looks through the library’s online and print resources to give you results in one easy search. You can use it to quickly find peer-reviewed journals, books, eBooks, streaming video, and the other types of sources you might need to complete an assignment.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to

  • describe what OneSearch is and how it differs from other library resources;
  • conduct a basic search using search terms related to your topic of interest;
  • apply filters effectively to narrow down a set of search results;
  • successfully navigate to the full text of an item in a results list; and
  • distinguish between the tools that allow you to save items for later use and generate citations.
