Faculty - Start Here!

The agendas for the Academic Senate are sent out to all faculty. Be sure to read them and reach out to your department representative if you have any feedback.

All faculty are encouraged to get involved with ASCCC. There are two plenaries each year - one in the fall and one in the spring. This is where resolutions are debated and voted on. In addition, there are many Area Meetings (we're in Area D) and other professional learning opportunities offered throughout the year. Each summer there is the ASCCC Curriculum Institute as well! We encourage you to join members of the City AS Exec team at these events and get involved in our state-wide advocacy efforts.

Setting Up Donations in mySDCCD

Many important services at the college rely upon charitable donations. Whether you wish to make a single or recurring donation to the City College Foundation or to the Academic Senate, you can follow a simple process in mySDCCD to make sure your donation ends up in the right place.   

• Navigate to My Pay from the Employee Dashboard in mySDCCD. 
  
• On the Payroll screen, look for a tile with a link to Voluntary Deductions.
  
• On the Voluntary Deductions page, find a button that says Add Deduction in addition to a list of your current payroll voluntary deductions.  
  
•  Once you have chosen Add Deduction, you will see a page with several fields to fill in. First select the magnifying glass and choose who will receive the donation. To donate to the AS, please select Academic Senate Dues - City. You may also contribute to the City College Foundation, for example. There are several other fields to fill out in order to complete this donation process.
