Curriculum Review

As you might imagine, your role as Dean is crucial in helping us both meet and maintain the goals of City’s curriculum development and the college as a whole. Your involvement is vital to the development of courses and programs offered at San Diego City College. The following information and resources are presented to assist with your onboarding process as it relates to curriculum. We are all here to support as you transition into your dean role at San Diego City College. Do not hesitate to call on any of us should you have questions or comments. We are looking forward to working with you!

Key Communication Points

  • Share with your faculty and CRC Chair any issues or concerns with proposals you review. Also share the proposal with department chairs and deans that may be affected in a related discipline or department.
  • Communicate with department chair if there are concerns about curriculum in your school being up-to-date (2/6 year reviews complete & not on the "active not offered" list)
  • Important!! DO NOT advertise curriculum to students or the public until the proposal has been approved by the state!
