Interest inventories are not tests, and they won’t determine what you like. Instead, you provide information about your preferences, and the inventory connects those interests to potential career options. The accuracy of the results depends on how accurately you respond.

My Next Move Links to an external site.:  The O*NET Interest Profiler offers personalized career suggestions based on a person’s interests and level of work experience. My Next Move has tasks, skills, salary information, and more for over 900 different careers.

After taking an assessment, be sure to save the results and have them with you when you meet with the career counselor for additional interpretation and discussion.
