Career Counseling is a process to help you understand yourself and the word of work in order to make career, educational, and life decisions.

  • Career counseling is a partnership between you and your counselor.
  • A counselor listens and asks questions to help determine needs, goals, and a plan to achieve your goals.
  • You and your counselor  may talk about your career development journey, career assessments, career exploration, and other beneficial tools.
  • Discussion topics may include:  interests, skills, values, personality, cultural background, barriers to employment, and relationship experiences, life changes, mid-life careers, career switch, career enhancement, resume, interviews, job search, networking, work history, college, majors, and more.
