Welcome to Designing User-Friendly Pages in Canvas!

We can use a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach as a framework for designing flexible learning experiences. UDL considers all of our variable and diverse students. UDL puts emphasis on the role of the environment on enabling or disabling learners, rather than negatively labeling students themselves. Course design impacts students! This module will discuss how effective formatting can support your students.
At the end of this module, you should be able to:
- Determine if instructional documents can be placed in a Canvas page.
- Describe how screen readers rely on HTML tags to interpret information.
