Course List vs Dashboard

In the main Canvas navigation menu you'll see the Dashboard and Courses links.
When you click on 'Dashboard' you'll navigate away from this page to the dashboard page.
When you click on 'Courses' you'll open a drop down menu that displays your courses (without navigating away from this page).
You can customize what you want to show up in this drop down, as well as what you want to display in your Dashboard.

To customize which courses display in the Courses drop down menu and on the dashboard page:

Click on "Courses" in the main navigation menu, then click on "All Courses" at the top of the menu.
⭐ Star the courses you would like to appear in the Courses drop down menu and on the Dashboard page.

There is limited ability to customize the order in which courses display in the Courses drop down menu:

The order will be alphabetical.
Customizing the course nickname on the Dashboard page gives you some control over the order (see below for instructions for changing the course nickname).

(In contrast you do have the ability to change the order in which courses display on the Dashboard page.)
