Making a First Impression

Your syllabus makes a first impression with your students. It's your first opportunity to welcome students to the class and to give them the resources that they'll need to be successful throughout the semester and to tell students that they belong. When was the last time that you critically reviewed your own course syllabus to identify areas for improvement? We understand that it can be challenging to find the time to do this. We invite you to do that at any point throughout the semester, even if it's just one element of your syllabus at a time. Many of our syllabus resources are on the Teaching Tree, and so we'll be directing you towards that space for those.
