Welcome to Evaluating Sources!

In this module, you will learn about the S.I.F.T. method. Use it to evaluate the sources you'll find in the Library so that you'll always use the best information for your projects. You'll learn how to how to evaluate the credibility and appropriateness of sources, and be given tools that can support you in making decisions about evaluating information sources.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:

define a credible source;
evaluate a credible source using the S.I.F.T. method; and
determine which sources are appropriate for your research needs.
