Accessing Search Results
OneSearch can connect you to the full text of items you’re interested in or direct you to its location within the library or online.
Finding the Full Text
When you find an item that may be relevant to your research, click on Available at or Available Online and OneSearch will show you where to access the material.
Sometimes (particularly if you’re connecting from off-campus) you'll be asked to enter your 10-digit college ID and password (SDCCD Credentials). This helps the database recognize that you are a student and will grant you access.
Getting Books and Other Items from Other Libraries
OneSearch results sometimes include items that might not be available through the Miramar College Library. You can still get access to items that are checked out, that we don’t own or subscribe to – at no cost to you – via MySDCCD login. Libraries share materials with one another, so even when Miramar College doesn't have access to a particular book or journal you need, the libraries at City College or Mesa College may be able to loan the item to you.
If the item you come across shows it is checked out or available on another campus, request it via MySDCCD login. You will need to sign in to request the item(s) from either City College or Mesa College.
If you run into any issues requesting items from City College or Mesa College, please contact us at librarymira@sdccd.edu. Links to an external site. Links to an external site.
