Welcome to The San Diego Promise!

Dear Mesa Promise Student,

Congratulations on your acceptance into the San Diego Promise Program at Mesa College for the 2024-2025 academic year!  

If you have not already done so, please be sure to complete the following important Promise program requirements:

Year 1 Promise Student Requirements

  Complete the virtual Promise Orientation here:

• • Watch the Promise Orientation video 
  • Review the Promise Orientation slides
  • Take the Promise Orientation quiz

Year 1 & Year 2 Promise Student Requirements

     Enroll in a minimum of 12 units: 

1. • Students who do not plan to enroll in at least 12 may submit either a DSPS waiver (Disability Support Programs & Services)-meet with a DSPS Counselor
   • Students who have a special circumstance may fill out a Reduced Units Appeal
   • Submit a DSPS Waiver or Reduced Units Appeal Links to an external site.

Maintaining Student Eligibility

    In order for students to stay in the program, they must maintain "Promise good standing" which means completing the following:

• Remain in minimum of 12 units or have an approved DSPS Waiver or Reduced Units Appeal on file 
• Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
• Meet with a counselor once per semester and complete a comprehensive education plan by the end of the first year
• Complete a self-reported mid-semester progress report during Fall and Spring semester of Year 1
  • See Progress Report which is located in Modules / Forms to Be Completed
• Attend one Mesa College event - virtual or in-person
  • See Campus Engagement in module, Forms to Be Completed)

Payment Deadline

 The drop for non payment date for Fall 2025 courses is Sunday, August 3, 2025.
