Steps to apply!

Step 1: SDCCD Admissions Application: 

Fall 2022: Interested students must first complete a Fall 2022 Admissions application to San Diego City, Mesa, or Miramar College at sdccd.edu/apply Links to an external site..

Note: If you are taking college courses at San Diego City College or Mesa College or Miramar college through your high school, you have an application for our college on file, and you will NOT need to submit another application for admission.

Step 2: Financial Aid Application 

Fall 2022: Complete a 2022-2023 financial aid application (FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov Links to an external site. or the California Dream Act at dream.csac.ca.gov Links to an external site.). Students should submit a financial aid application as soon as possible using the school code for the college they will be attending in the fall.

Step 3: Promise Application 

       If you plan to attend San Diego City College in the Fall of 2022:

• • • The San Diego Promise Application for the Class of 2022 high School Graduates entering City College in Fall 2022 is now open.

Step 4: Online New Student Orientation and Abbreviated Education Plan 

Complete an online new student orientation and meet with a college counselor to develop an education plan (a roadmap to graduation) as soon as possible.

  • Abbreviated Education Plan 
    
    • New students must complete the New Student Education Planning workshop on Canvas.  Click here Links to an external site. to access the workshop. 

    • There are 2 ways to meet with a counselor:

      • Drop-in Sessions Links to an external site. for quick questions.  Drop-in Sessions are available online or in-person on a limited basis (must be scheduled in advance).
      • Live e-Appointments Links to an external site. for comprehensive academic, career, and personal counseling.  Live e-Appointments are currently only offered in an online format.

Step 5: Promise Contract and Promise Orientation 

Fall 2022: Deadline to sign a Promise Contract | August 29, 2022

**Information regarding the Promise contract will ONLY be provided to students that meet the program eligibility requirements. As program eligibility is determined, information regarding the Promise Contract will be sent to students via email. 

Step 6: Register for Classes 

Fall 2022 Deadline: Students must register for a minimum of 12 units by  September 4, 2022

*Students that do no register in a minimum of 12 units by September 4, 2022 will be dismissed from the program, with the exception of students that have DSPS academic accommodation on file
