Remote Services are unavailable

DSPS Covid-19 Action Plan-We are Here for You!

In light of the recent developments concerning COVID-19, and the college's transition to remote instruction, we recognize that students may be feeling a bit overwhelmed.  We understand that the transition to remote learning methods might present various levels of access barriers for students and we want you to know that DSPS remains committed to supporting each of our students and offers the following information and guidance to support your transition and success.

As of March 16, 2020 DSPS is providing remote services.

We are able to connect with you in a variety of ways:

How do I request a remote appointment?

What services can DSPS provide remotely?

  • DSPS Counseling support with options for transition to remote learning: We understand that there are a lot of unknowns with this transition. Rest assured that we will individually work with you to discuss your situation and options available to you should this online environment not work for you or in the event your accommodations needs cannot be met. We have lots of options available and are working closely with the administration to advocate for special considerations for students who experience disability-related barriers as a result of this transition.
  • Academic Accommodations in Remote Learning Environments: If you would like to request an adjustment to your current letter of accommodations based on a need you encounter once your course moves online counselors can assist you with that.
  • Technology Training/Assistive Technology Support: Our HTC team can assist you remotely with technology questions, assistive technology, and alternate media production requests
  • Educational Planning (limited as we triage accommodation needs first)
  • Campus Liaison & General Information: We can refer you to various remote supports and services, provide general information and liaison with your professors if you encounter challenges

Faculty & Staff Consultation and Support for Accessibility in Remote Learning Environments: We can also provide support to faculty and staff during the transition to support accessibility for all students in the remote learning environment.
