Fixing tags at-a-glance  

If the source document is unavailable, please follow these guidelines:

  • Content needs to be tagged in the Logical Reading Order
  • Common areas to review:
    • Tables
    • Figures
    • Artifacts
    • Lists
  • Unique considerations depending on the source document and means of conversion:
    • Scanned Document
    • Role Mapping
    • Links
    • Form Fields

Different tagged results will occur depending on the conversion or tagging method.

For example, you can have the same PDF, but depending on which Adobe Version or even the type of computer used (PC or MAC,) you can have very different results occur in PDFMaker in Microsoft Word Links to an external site. vs. Make Accessible in Adobe Acrobat DC.
