Keeping Students Informed

PowerPoint offers a Notes Pane to include talking points, reminders, or additional information about the slide's contents. This is a useful place to provide students with additional information about the specific slide. If you are using audio content within a PowerPoint slide, this is an excellent location to place a copy of the text transcript. Don't assume students will look in the Notes Pane - it is a good idea to inform students there is more information about the slide!

To inform students, simply create a new slide and place it at the beginning of your PowerPoint to help students quickly navigate to the information they need. It is recommended to add a footnote to students on how to navigate to the Slide Notes section.
