Audio & Transcripts
Audio clips need transcripts in order to allow those who are hard of hearing to access your content.
Transcription is the first step toward the creation of a captioned video. The transcript itself is a text equivalent of an audio recording. In addition to its use in the captioning process, a transcript may be useful in its own right as a learning tool for students, who can read the text and search for key words.
On the slide that has the audio file, place your transcript in the Notes Pane. Don’t forget to let students know the transcript is in the Notes!
Audio Files
Ensure audio files have a transcript of the text. One effective solution is to place your transcript of the audio file in the Notes Pane.
