YouTube Captioning: Get Your Digital Badge!
You'll find your digital badges when you click on "Badges" on the menu.
To earn the badge and/or Flex # 20010 Requirements:
- (First you'll need a YouTube video of your own to which you'll be adding captions.)
- Using one of the methods described in this module, add captions to your YouTube video.
- You cannot just rely on the auto-captions generated by YouTube for earning this badge. You'll need to demonstrate the skill of editing those auto-generated YouTube captions.
- Once you have the YouTube link to your captioned video please use the "Submit Assignment" button* to share the link (Website URL) to your captioned YouTube video.
Once we review these, you'll be awarded your badge on the "Badges" link of the menu. If you have any questions, please contact mesaloft@sdccd.edu
*If you do not see a "Submit Assignment" button on this page, it means that you aren't logged into this Canvas course with your Canvas account. In that case:
- Request a Canvas account Links to an external site. from SDCCD Online Learning Pathways (only if you don't already have a Canvas account.) If you are a classified employee write "Mesa LOFT Badge Program" as the development shell prefix and number.
- Once you have your Canvas account, log into it, and then use this Badge program enrollment link to enroll into this Mesa LOFT Badge course.
- Come back to this page and find the "Submit Assignment" button to share the link to your captioned YouTube video. (Make sure that it's not just the YouTube auto-captions that are available.)
