What is Sketchnoting?
Sketchnoting refers to hand drawn visual notes that incorporate drawings with text. Sketchnoting is also sometimes referred to as "visual note-taking" or "graphic recording." It has become commonly practiced at conference presentations as a way to share a visual representation of the presentation. Sketchnotes can be created after the presentation, or they can be created live at the time of the actual presentation. The best part - sketchnotes can be as low tech (markers & paper) or high tech (stylus on a tablet) as you want them to be. In the examples below, you'll notice that sketchnotes aren't only for conference presentations.

Be Prepared to Share
As part of the Sketchnote LOFT Badge requirements, we will be asking you to share your sketchnotes with the Mesa LOFT. We're letting you know that now to set clear expectations. All of us are part of a community of practice, and we hope that you feel comfortable sharing your creations with us. Here are the sketchnotes from Mesa Colleagues that we've collected so far. Once you've earned your badge, we'll add yours to this page.
